Fabulous local floral master, Janie Medley, of Janie Medley Flora Design, has brilliantly created a blog full of inspiration for brides (and vendors alike!). I highly encourage all of my blog readers to go and check it out on a regular basis, you will be quite pleased I told you about it!
Here is a sample of Janie’s immensely talented work from a wedding we did together this summer.

This afternoon Teri, Justin and I braved the threatening clouds to shoot their engagement session. It’s crazy that it looks like fall outside but is acting like summer…..80 degrees with impending thunderstorms? So strange!!! The rain however held off and we had a great time walking around the Centreville area. Enjoy your pics guys!
What a wedding! Kristina and Jon were married Saturday at the beautiful Shrine of the most Blessed Sacrament in DC. Their reception was held at the always magnificent Mayflower Hotel where everyone danced the night away.
Kristina and Jon are such a loving couple – when listening to the toasts and watching the celebration that ensued it was clear that the love that brought them together was shared by everyone. Enjoy the photos!
What a fantastic wedding this was! Katie and Ed are so much fun to be around. Watching them together..it is so apparent how much they love one another.
Pam Barefoot planned this wedding meticulously. Every detail came together fabulously…..enjoy the photos!

Julie and Will were married on Saturday at Raspberry Plains in Leesburg. It was my first time at that venue and it was just breathtakingly beautiful….even though the heat was August-like!

i adore this shot of will reading the inscription on his wedding band right after the ceremony

first dance fun

an adorable guest

Mao and Chris were married on Sunday at the Four Seasons in DC. I felt so honored to be apart of their special day with Chris being a kick butt photog himself…. it was a huge compliment.
Their colors were Tiffany blue and chocolate brown and the lighting at the reception set the scene for a night of non-stop partying! Lesley from LelyCo kept the entire day running smoothly!!
Okay – on to the pics……

i had total shoe envy!!

Chris sent his guys to serenade Mao before the ceremony….so sweet!!!

Thank you so much for including me in your special day!!!!
Lisa and Chad were married on Saturday at the charming St. Josephs in Old Town Alexandria. I love being a part of such an emotional day in peoples lives. It was so touching to watch them separately before the ceremony and see so clearly how much they love one another. After the ceremony we walked around the town to get some fun shots of the two of them. Their reception was held at the Springfield Country Club……enjoy the pics!
