I had such a great time shooting Mandy & Dan’s wedding yesterday. I was worried I would be lacking, since I have a terrible cold, but WOW, with the venue and the couple and everything else, I was completely inspired all day. Their reception was at the Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington. I didn’t know this local bar hosted weddings, I thought they just hosted rockstars. It turned out to be the coolest venue I have shot at. An awesome vintage feel flowed the whole night.

There seems to be a fun game of blog tag going around and I’ve been hit! The lovely Justine Ungaro has tagged me. She is a kick-a** DC photog who has recently relocated to LA. I now have to offer up 8 pieces of juicy info that you all don’t know about me. Let’s see what I can come up with……
1. I used to want to sing on Broadway in musicals. (I can’t sing, although I am a total rockstar in my car)
2. I am OBSESSED with celebrity tabloids. US magazine is like my crack.
3. I take bubble baths regularly.
4. The Pacifier is my current favorite movie. I don’t know why, it’s just so bad, it’s good 
5. My mom has a HUGE influence over me…..still.
6. I love cheap Chardonnay. (two buck chuck is my fave!!)
7. I am jealous that Pancakes loves Joey more than she loves me.
8. And the biggie (aka most embarrassing) – I still sleep with my “nighty-night”. The blanket I was brought home from the hospital in. It is so shredded, it’s sad really.

YOU’RE IT!!!
The other night night I woke up covered in sweat and thanking God that it was just a dream. A nightmare really. I dreamt I was shooting a wedding….with a disposable camera (yes Kristen this is probably b/c of your bachelorette party!). In this NIGHTMARE, my 2 assistants showed up without equipment, and in jeans and sneakers. Yikes! My cameras were all stolen and I was shooting with a disposable film camera. My flashes had no batteries. Then for some reason I went home to get more batteries and got pulled over, arriving back at the wedding 2 hours later. Disaster. It pretty much parallels the showing up at school naked dream everyone has in high school.
I can assure all my clients this would never actually happen…..only in my nightmares
I babysat Brandon a couple of weeks ago and of course took some photos. His hair is so blonde….just like John’s was when he was a baby. He is such a talented little thing too, you should see his batters stance, and he is only one and a half! Genius
