Erin and Puong Fei are getting married in September and I can’t wait! I had such a good time walking around Old Town with them this afternoon. Check out the amazing light we had the whole time!!
I didn’t notice the shrub below was a teddy bear until editing this image.

Yes a two wedding weekend! Sarah and Mark were married at the gorgeous Thomas Birkby House in downtown Leesburg. It was a nice hot day and the rain stayed away until everyone was under the tent for dinner and didn’t last long, it was perfect!

I had been looking forward to Becky & Tom’s wedding for almost 2 years. It was literally that long ago that I shot their engagement session! Their ceremony was in a beautiful church in historic downtown Winchester and due to a last minute change (their hotel was still under construction!), they moved their reception to the Picadilly Brew Pub. It was an incredibly charming and unique venue.

Congrats you two!!!!
I met up with Tammy and Tim this afternoon at the Reston Town Center for their engagement session. They are such a sweet couple and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in 2 weeks!

see you soon!
Yesterday I met up with Jaime and Evan at the National Zoo for their engagement session. It was an off day for me where everything seemed to go wrong including getting stuck on a broken down metro, my fare card being deactivated by my cell, and getting the doors closed on me TWICE. But it was meant to be because we ended up with gorgeous light!

i love this image of them on the metro on the way home

despite no animals out at the zoo, and the metro craziness, i had a blast! i will see you guys soon for the wedding!
My dear friends Ashley and Marc were married on Saturday in Duck, NC. I finally got to be a guest at a wedding, woo-hoo! We had a great time and I think I cried during the whole ceremony.
I took a couple of pics with my good camera and a couple with the point and shoot (u will be able to tell which are which!)
ash and her dad walking down the aisle with tears already flowing!

excuse the angles, it is hard to take pics while sitting as a guest!

I just realized I never posted this.
I shot a wedding on may 5th so i wasn’t able to attend a couple of parties we were invited to, to celebrate cinco de mayo. when i got home about 10:30 that night, i saw this ![]()
Joey made me a drink, fajitas, and had chips and salsa and even flowers all set up for me! The first annual cinco de katejoe, it has a nice ring to it. I married the best man ever! Thank you baby!!!

I met with Min awhile ago to discuss doing a bridal/engagement session. I was not available on her wedding day so I knew I wanted to photograph her in her dress if I could. When I saw her today I was so excited, she looked absolutley STUNNING in her Melissa Sweet gown. Mike looked pretty handsome himself!
We started inside the Willard Intercontinental in DC and just walked around the surrounding areas to see what we could get…….

impressive jumping skills!

Sarah and Mark are getting married at the end of the month at the Thomas Birkby House and I can’t wait! They are so much fun and happily go along with my crazy photo ideas!
